the many faces of Jamie

Jamie and Cameron got new haircuts yesterday and are both looking very smart and grown-up.

Jamie was eating an orange today as a snack after school and he had some classic looks.  Here are the many faces of Jamie Elliott....

bible stories

At school this week the new Pastor of the church came into see the children. He came to Cameron's class to read bible stories and talk to the children about god.  So before he started he asked the children if they knew any names from the bible.  Cameron put his hand up and when called upon to answer said "Barack Obama".  Nice work Cameron!

wisp

We just spent the weekend at Wisp Ski Resort with Dave, Jean and Ruby. We had a great time and the boys loved their skiing trip.  We are very lucky that Dave and Jean are so organised because they knew the resort and booked us up. We stayed in a house very close to the resort and we had some lovely warm skiing days.Cameron did two days of ski school and really enjoyed it. On his first day report card it said "Cameron likes to go really fast"  and that about sums it up.

Jamie is too young for ski school so he got his first ski lesson from his dad and he loved it. The first day they went up in the ski lift, Jamie and Grant got off at midpoint - Grant thought that would be best for a short run down the mountain - only to realise that the only runs you can reach from midpoint are black diamond runs! After considering calling mountain rescue Grant decided to try to make it down with Jamie. He said it took longer than he'd like but they came down the mountain without any spills. Next time they took it easy and did a green run!
More skiing photos to come tomorrow....

artwork

I'm sure you've been missing your artwork fix from Cameron and Jamie.  Now that I have my iMac working with my photos we should be able to bring you some art from school this week.

Here is winter and spring from Cameron.

Jamie made these fantastic elephant ears today. He was so happy to wear them on the way out of school. He loves the Elmer the Elephant book and has been working on the letter E this week. Here is an envelope from Jamie which had some lovely drawings inside and also some paper that he'd cut up using scissors. And finally today Cameron brought home a snowman that he loves - me too.
More artwork next week!

happy birthday to me!

Now that the age of face-pulling is fun I may never get a normal photo of the boys together again.
